The Ascension of the Lord is a major Christian feast commemorating Jesus Christ's bodily return to Heaven 40 days after his Resurrection. Occurring on the Mount of Olives near Jerusalem, it marks the completion of his earthly mission and his enthronement at the right hand of God the Father.
