A lie often needs another lie to support it. Then another story is created to cover the first. Before long, a person can become trapped in a web of deception, always trying to remember what was said and to whom.
But truth does not need a crowd.
Truth can stand quietly, even when nobody believes it. It does not need manipulation, excuses, or approval. God sees the truth even when people reject it.
Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” — John 14:6
As followers of Christ, we are called to walk in truth—not only when it is easy, but especially when standing for truth costs us something.
There may be moments when you stand alone. Do not be afraid.
If God is with you, you are never truly alone.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, give me courage to stand for truth even when I stand alone. Keep my heart free from deception, exaggeration, and falsehood. Help me speak honestly, live faithfully, and reflect Your character in everything I do. May my life be built on Your truth rather than the approval of people. Amen.
