There are many voices competing for our attention—success, money, recognition, people, and the expectations of the world. But as followers of Christ, we are called to remember who truly sits on the throne.
Jesus Christ is the only King worthy of our complete devotion.
To serve the King means more than simply speaking His name. It means allowing Him to rule our hearts, guide our decisions, shape our character, and direct our lives. We don't serve Christ only when it is convenient. We serve Him in the good times, in the struggles, in the victories, and in the valleys.
A faithful servant does not ask, "What do I get?" but "How can I serve my King?"
Jesus gave everything for us. He humbled Himself, carried the cross, defeated death, and rose again. Our response should be a life surrendered to Him.
When the world tells us to follow every new direction, we can stand firm and say:
"I know whom I serve. Jesus Christ is my King."
Let your words honor Him. Let your actions reflect Him. Let your service point others toward Him. And when you are tired or discouraged, remember that your labor for the King is never meaningless.
Prayer
Lord Jesus,
You are my King, my Lord, and my Savior. Help me to serve You with a faithful heart. Keep me from being distracted by the things of this world. Give me courage to stand for You, humility to serve others, and strength to remain faithful. May my life bring honor to Your name. I surrender my plans, my gifts, and my future to You.
Amen.
Practical Action
Today, find one person you can serve without expecting anything in return. Do it as an act of worship to your King.
I serve the only King—Jesus Christ.
