Danger Is Your Business
Scripture:
«“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”
— Deuteronomy 31:6»
There are moments in life when doing what is right will not be comfortable. Standing for truth, defending the helpless, speaking about Christ, or obeying God's calling may place us in difficult circumstances.
But courage is not the absence of danger. Courage is choosing obedience even when danger is present.
As followers of Christ, we are not promised a life without trouble. Jesus warned His disciples that they would face opposition and hardship. Yet He also promised His presence: “I am with you always.”
There is a difference between seeking danger and refusing to abandon your calling because danger exists.
Your responsibility is obedience.
Your responsibility is faithfulness.
Your responsibility is to stand when God tells you to stand.
The outcome belongs to God.
Sometimes the Lord delivers us from the danger. Sometimes He gives us strength to walk through it. And sometimes our courage becomes a testimony that inspires someone else to trust Him.
So do not allow fear to become your master. Pray, use wisdom, count the cost, and then obey God.
Danger may be part of the assignment, but you never face it alone.
Prayer
Lord, give me courage when fear tells me to retreat. Help me to stand for truth, protect those who are vulnerable, and remain faithful to Your calling. Give me wisdom to know when to act and when to withdraw. When danger comes, remind me that You are with me. Let my life bring honor to Your name.
Amen.
Reflection
Am I allowing fear of consequences to prevent me from obeying God?
