Called Out of Darkness
Scripture:
«“For you are all one in Christ Jesus.” — Galatians 3:28»
God did not create different races and cultures so that we could hate, separate, or look down on one another. He created humanity in His image. Our languages, cultures, backgrounds, and traditions may be different, but our value before God is the same.
The great division God speaks about is not black against white, one culture against another, or one nation against another. Scripture shows us a deeper division: light and darkness.
God calls us to leave the darkness of sin, hatred, pride, prejudice, unforgiveness, and selfishness and to walk in the light of Christ.
Jesus did not die for one race or one culture. He gave His life so that people from every nation, tribe, people, and language could be reconciled to God.
As followers of Christ, we should not allow the world to define people by their skin, language, nationality, or culture. We should see people as God sees them: human beings created in His image and people whom He desires to save.
Our identity is ultimately not found in the colour of our skin or the culture we come from. Our greatest identity is found in Christ.
Today’s challenge:
Examine your heart. Is there any prejudice, bitterness, pride, or division that you have allowed to remain there? Bring it before God. Ask Him to replace judgment with love, division with unity, and darkness with His light.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You that Your salvation is for every nation and every people. Help me never to judge someone because of their race, culture, language, or background. Remove prejudice and hatred from my heart. Teach me to see people through Your eyes and to walk as a child of light. May my life bring people together in Christ rather than divide them. Amen.
