'COMING NEAR TO GOD
O God you are without beginning or end, you who
are everywhere and in everything. I come to you, even
though I am not always sure of your reality.
I am amazed that you should bother with us human
beings who are often so unconcerned about great issues
of life and eternity. We get so caught up in the mundane
things of life such as watching television and what food to
cook tonight.
Yet you are almighty God: you are the mystery beyond
all mysteries; no one can compare with you. You are above
all things. You created all things. You do not fade at all but
always remain strong.
Help me to know you more deeply, trust you more fully,
and to follow you more closely, I pray.
Amen."
