Psalm 143:8~ Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
Almost every disciple has times when they feel alone and have doubts. Our prayer requests seem to bounce off the ceiling and land in pieces at our feet. God seems far away, as if He is hiding, asleep, or not interested in our pleas for mercy and help. God is good to give us the Psalms. We can find words for almost all of life's ups and downs in the Psalms. When we're feeling down, it's comforting to know that others have been there before us and have found hope and energy again. But there are times in life when we need God to show us how much He loves and guides us. This psalm and these words were written for a time like this. If the request doesn't fit with what you need, please pray these words for someone else. If, on the other hand, they speak to you, please pray for yourself!
Prayer: Dear Father, please show up in my life in a way that I can't deny, and help me see Your presence and mercy. I want to honor You, dear God, but please make it clear what You want me to do so I can do Your will with courage and faith. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
