Psalm 119:105~ Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
So often, those of us who have the blessings of faith and the guidance of the Bible don't fully appreciate them. Can you imagine trying to figure out who you are, what you value, and what you want to do in life without a standard of truth? Imagine being lost without a map or compass to help you find your way. Remember what it was like to be a child and wake up in the middle of the night in a place you didn't know? We no longer need to worry about that, right? God's Word, both the Bible and His Son, shines light on our dark paths and leads us home.
Prayer: O LORD, my Father, I'm glad You didn't leave me in the dark. Your Word shows me the way, and Your Son, who is called "the Light of the World," shows me how to live. Thank You for not just leaving me to figure things out on my own. In Jesus' precious name, I pray. Amen.
