CAN WOMEN BE PASTORS? — WHAT DOES THE BIBLE SAY
This question has stirred many debates, but let’s return to Scripture with humility and truth.
God has always used women in powerful ways. In the Old Testament, Deborah was a judge and leader (Judges 4:4), and Huldah was a prophetess who spoke God’s Word (2 Kings 22:14). God’s calling was never limited by gender.

God has always used women in powerful ways. In the Old Testament, Deborah was a judge and leader (Judges 4:4), and Huldah was a prophetess who spoke God’s Word (2 Kings 22:14). God’s calling was never limited by gender.
In the New Testament, Priscilla—alongside her husband Aquila—helped teach Apollos, a mighty preacher, “explaining to him the way of God more accurately.” — Acts 18:26
Some point to Paul’s instruction: “I do not permit a woman to teach…” — 1 Timothy 2:12. But this was written to Timothy in Ephesus, a city influenced by the cult of Artemis (Diana), where false teachings were spreading—often through untrained women. Paul was correcting disorder, not denying women’s calling for all time.
The truth is this: God uses vessels that are yielded to Him.
“In Christ Jesus you are all one…” — Galatians 3:28
The Holy Spirit empowers the body—not based on gender, but on calling, character, and truth.
Let us not limit what God has not limited.
