GOD, GOVERNMENT, AND AMERICA: A BIBLICAL PERSPECTIVE
How does God look upon the government of America? Scripture teaches that all earthly authority exists under God’s ultimate sovereignty, and that every ruler will ultimately answer to Him.

How does God look upon the government of America? Scripture teaches that all earthly authority exists under God’s ultimate sovereignty, and that every ruler will ultimately answer to Him.
📖 Romans 13:1 (KJV)
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.”
Government has a responsibility to uphold justice, restrain wrongdoing, and protect the people. Yet earthly authority is not above God’s law. Leaders are accountable for their actions, just as every individual is accountable for how they live.
📖 Proverbs 14:34 (KJV)
“Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people.”
America’s strength is not measured by its wealth, military power, or global influence alone. Its true moral character must also be measured by its commitment to truth, justice, mercy, humility, and the protection of the innocent.
📖 Micah 6:8 (KJV)
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?”
No nation is beyond God’s judgment, and no political leader is above His authority. Scripture calls rulers to govern justly and calls citizens to pursue righteousness, pray for those in authority, and stand for what is right.
📖 1 Timothy 2:1–2 (KJV) calls Christians to pray for kings and all who are in authority.
May America seek wisdom over pride, justice over corruption, truth over deception, and faith over fear. Our ultimate allegiance belongs to God, and our responsibility is to pursue righteousness regardless of who holds political power.
🇺🇸🙏 God bless America. May the Lord guide its leaders, protect its people, and lead this nation toward truth and righteousness.
