The Cross Carved in the Stone

Among the old Christian legends passed quietly from one generation of Knights to another is the story of a forgotten mountain pass where the Knights Templar once kept watch over pilgrims traveling toward the Holy Places.

At the entrance to the pass lay a massive stone. Upon it was carved a simple red cross not by a famous master, but by an unknown Templar whose name has been lost to time.

Many believed the carving was too plain to deserve notice.
