As a new member of both OMSDT and St. Helena Priory, I was asked by Prior Amanda and later by my Mentor, Sir Steve Christopher, what drew me to the OMSDT Knight Templars. I explained I have always believed in the Father, His Son-Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. I reflected back when I was 18 years-old, just before left for Military Service, along time ago now. I am remembered speaking to God and saying, "I do not know what they are going to ask me to do, but I understand when I look down and only see one set of footprints, I know that you are carrying me. Before and Since that time, I have always believed in the Lord's Grace as described in The Poem "Footprints in the Sand." I will just write the last paragraph:
"He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you Never ever, during your trials and testing. When you saw only one set of footprints, It was then that I carried you."
If I am being totally honest, another reason I joined the OMSDT is for help to soften my heart. My wife told me that my heart could be rigid and cold when it comes to other people. She is not wrong, so, I ask for the Grace of God and all of y'all guidance, understanding, and direction to help me free my heart of hubris and coldness.
