5:30 am this morning my friend Wayne lost his hard fought battle with cancer. Last time I went fishing with him I tried to just soak in the moment. I literally held his rod for him while he took.his cancer meds on the front deck on the boat. What hit me later on is that he knew then his days werw numbered but yet he was spending one of them with me. Thats pretty touching. He fought until the very end, praised God for every breath he took and kept smiling.
